Well, the game came and went. It was an interesting evening to say the least. I got the chance to see my friend Yves for the first time in 10 years. He played a classic dwarf warrior. JP played a cleric and Simon played an androgynous elf warrior/magic-user.
My concept for the game was a search and rescue mission led by the cleric. My serious development took a backseat to the antics of the elf, sadly.
Still, we had fun using the Swords & Wizardry rules which aim to recreate the original classic Gary Gygax & Dave Arneson version of D&D. The Sleep spell details are WHACKED by the way.

Top 10 technologies in a death spiral
I found this article fascinating. I use so much of this technology on a daily basis. For the full article, click on the following link: http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/opinion/1561899/top-technologies-death-spiral
In case the article goes dead, here it is in condensed form:
1. DVD players
2. Fax machine
3. Analogue TV
4. The landline phone
5. Mobile phone charger
6. Wii-mote
7. Sat Navs
8. Dongle
9. The computer mouse
10. Chip and pin credit cards
For the record, I use 7 out of 10 of them. Numbers 6, 7 and 8 aren't part of my life.

Iron Man 2

I went to see my first movie in a while last Thursday, Iron Man 2. I loved the first one and the second is great as well. A sequel will always be different from the original since the overall story must progress. Robert Downey Jr. was again fantastic and the entire cast was great as well.
I was disappointed by 2 things: no Iron Man song by Black Sabbath and a BLATANT error in the end credits before the secret scene.
What was the error? Towards the end of the credits, the song credits appear and one of my all-time songs appears, "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC. The credit lists the song as being written by the Young brothers and Brian Johnson. Brian Johnson was not with the group yet when the song was written by Angus young, Malcolm Young and Bon Scott in 1979.
